Creating Smart/ Ad hoc/ Standard reports with aggregate data

0 views 0

When running a report containing chart in Intellicus, the data aggregations like group by, sorting, filtering etc. is performed at the database source in case of any RDBMS or analytical database source. Intellicus receives the aggregated data from the respective database source to be written to a view or report to further analyze the report data to gain insights.

This enables Intellicus to utilize the data processing capabilities of various RDBMS data sources and provide improved performance in rendering reports.

For non-RDBMS data sources, the aggregations are performed by Intellicus using its staging database, after fetching all the queried data.

In smart reports, aggregation works in the following ways:

  • Aggregation will work when the grid has a group by clause
  • Aggregation will not work on grid control if it does not have a group by clause, however, it will work on chart and matrix controls
