Click the ‘Add Map option under Add add icon icon located at the bottom-left corner to add a map view of your data.

After you have looked up the geographic fields and assigned roles corresponding to them on the Query Object screen, you can now render maps in Intellicus.

Intellicus supports online map providers to render geospatial data, with online layers/tiles.

Following properties should be configured in “MapProviderInfo.json” and placed at “<Intellicus installation path>/ReportEngine/config/maps/GIS”

  • Provider Display Name
  • Connection Name
  • Access key
  • Provider/Script URL

Intellicus supports the following map types in Smart reports:

  • Bubble Map: To show bubbles on geographic locations and perform business analysis based on color and size measures

Bubble Map Properties

Visualization Type Select “Bubble” as the map type Select the visualization type to better analyze your GIS dataset
Map Layer Select from list:

·         Standard

·         Satellite

Choose a map layer to display your specific GIS dataset
Additional Map Layers Select from list:

·         Water Way

·         Land Cover

·         Transportation

·         Building

·         Labels

You can additionally choose a map layer to better highlight your geographic data as required
GIS Field Type Choose one of the below:

·         Location

·         Latitude-Longitude

Choose the GIS field type for the fields to be plotted on map
Field Select from the list This list populates fields with Geographic roles assigned to them defined at the query object level.

Select appropriate field for grouping of data.

For example: the field that contains state name, country name etc.

These fields appear on the map.

For Latitude-Longitude field type, you need to select fields for both latitude and longitude

Color Field Select from the list Select the color field using which the map is calculated

This field governs the color of the bubble

Function Select summary function Select the aggregation summary function applied on the value field
Start Color Select color from palette Select the lowest value color

 

End Color Select color from palette Select the highest value color.

All the in-between values will be assigned respective colors automatically by an even distribution

Size Field Select from the list Select the field to govern the size of the bubble in map
Function Select summary function Select the aggregation summary function applied on the size field
Area Attributes Opens Attributes dialog

Area attributes dialog helps you design the content of the balloon that opens when user clicks an area on the map

  • Heat Map: To show heat/choropleth map on areas and perform business analysis based on color measure

Attributes Dialog

Area attributes dialog helps you design the content of the balloon that opens when an area on the map is clicked.

You can also edit the map name on the title bar by double-clicking on it.
You can delete a map control by clicking Delete Map icon Deleteon the top-right position of the map.
Click Delete on the down arrow next to Map tab on the bottom-left to delete the entire map view. A confirmation message pops up confirming the deletion.
